Nick Filis is an ambitious singer/songwriter with plans to influence the ever-changing music industry with his blend of pop and acoustic rock. Playing guitar and singing for a combined 21 years, he has enjoyed developing his unique style through performing for many crowds.

Armed with a band of fellow university music students, Nick recently released his 5 Track EP called ‘For You & Me’. With a youthful confidence, the EP moves from acoustic pop to funk disco all the way back around again as Nick explores the genres that have inspired him.

Nick’s music has been inspired by artists such as Vance Joy, Thirsty Merc and The Temper Trap. This is shown through his exciting arrangements of popular songs into something markedly different to its original form. Playing a variety of covers and originals, Nick regularly performs at venues and functions around Newcastle including places such as Hope Estate, Merewether Surf Club, MRAG etc.
